Pancasila impact on Global Economic Crisis 

Pancasila (Five Principles of Indonesia's ideology) is the third way that differs from other extreme ideologies that have ever existed. Indonesia survived the global economic crisis owing to choose the path that is rooted, flowing, and inspired by Pancasila. President Yudhoyono, when inaugurating the Pancasila and Constitution Training Center of Constitutional Court in Cisarua, Bogor, West Java, on Tuesday, 26 February 2013, reminded that Pancasila was extracted and born as an alternative to the world's ideologies that were on a collision course. Pancasila should not be deemed as a sacred and dogmatic ideology; yet it is an open and living ideology, so that Pancasila remains relevant and actual in the life of society, nation, and state. President Yudhoyono said that in the era of freedom, we need a foothold, a reference point, and a guidance in the form of constitution. Indonesia should be the land of freedom and the land of law at the same time. What has become a basic consensus, that is, the prevailing constitution should be seriously executed. The existence of the Constitutional Court aiming to ensure the life of the state and society should be relevant to the constitution. Therefore, constitutional education is necessary to maintain the relevance and the actualization of our constitution. Also present at the event were, among others, a number of the Second United Indonesia Cabinet Ministers, Cabinet Secretary, Heads of State Supreme Agencies, TNI Commander, Chief of National Police, and West Java Governor.
